Firstly, we are sorry to hear you light isn't working as expected.
The first things that need to be checked are:
a) Has the light been turned on?
There is a small switch located under the clear plastic cover that needs to be activated to allow the light to turn on. Photo instructions are below.
b) Is the battery pushed in all the way and connected to the two metal terminals?
Sometimes they can become slightly loose in transit which can cause slight connectivity issues. Once re-connected properly the light can function as normal
